	Most gas transmission companies have a Hydrocarbon Dewpoint (HCDP) specification that ensures that no free hydrocarbon liquids accumulate in their pipeline. Several processes are available, including: Joule-Thompson (JT) auto-refrigeration Mechanical Refrigeration with electric motor or gas engine driven refrigeration compressor(s) (see picture below). 		Gas composition, the HCDP specification, the market for the hydrocarbon liquids removed, the ambient conditions and the availability of utilities all contribute to the selection of the best process for a particular application. *Also see LPG Recovery.*
