• The market price of LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gases), and the constituent products (i.e. Ethane, Propane, Butane and Pentane plus), the gas composition, and the Plant Capital and Operating Costs determine which process to choose and the percent recovery of each component required. These processes are used to increase the recovery of LPG beyond that required for HCDP Control:
    • Low Temperature Refrigeration (deep cut)
    • Modified Lean Oil Absorption Plant (shown here)
    • Turbo Expander
  • Hysys/Hysim process simulation is a useful tool in evaluating the various processes. But, the key factor is economics.
  • Considering all the factors listed, which process will give you the greatest return over it's lifetime? I can help you decide.
